Lesson Program

If you are looking for a low-key, no pressure, “do it at your own pace” learning environment, then
Beech Grove Farm is for you.

We specialize in all beginner riders (youth to adult), evaluating each rider to structure a program for your individual needs.

WHAT WE TEACH
Our goal is to educate our students to become a horseman, not just someone that can ride on a horse.  Your lessons will cover equine psychology, biomechanics of the horse and rider, as well as how to communicate with your mount.  This will help you build the confidence and skills to go where you want to go –  whether that's a trek on horseback across America or to successful competition in a local show.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
If you're looking to do something more than just riding in circles, then let us help you create a strategy to become a more skilled rider.  Your mount is only as good as your ability to communicate with it.  We will take the time to make sure that you understand what all of the terms used in your lessons really mean and help you to know where your mount’s feet should be at all times so you can time your cues to achieve perfection.  Together we will better your skills so you can reach your potential and obtain the satisfaction of what you have accomplished through hard work and dedication.

LESSON PACKAGE POLICY
Private and semi-private hour lessons may be purchased in packages of four. Packages are non-refundable. The four lessons are to be used within 30 days of purchase. Lessons should be scheduled at time of purchase.

Notice of 24-hours is requested if cancellation becomes necessary. However, we understand that things sometimes just happen. It is mandatory to cancel by 8 am on the day of the lesson. A make-up lesson should be scheduled before the end of the 30-day period. Failure to do so will lead to the forfeiture of that lesson.

Because we work in an outdoor ring, weather conditions will determine our lesson schedule. Conditions will be monitored and, should cancellation be necessary, a make-up lesson will be scheduled as soon as possible. Please note that some make-up lessons may be semi-private lessons to accommodate time constraints.

Staff emergencies may lead to an instructor change or cancellation. Cancelled lessons will be rescheduled as soon as time permits without penalty to the student.

HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM
Fall Session begins September 10, 2024

At Beech Grove Farm we strive to develop horsemen in small sizes, too. In our Homeschool Program, we learn to be better riders and how to care for and groom the horses. We learn about the responsibilities involved, but we also have a lot of fun and make new friends.  Find more details via the link below.

SUMMER CAMPS
First Session begins in June 2024

Summer Camp at Beech Grove Farm is offered as half-day, week-long sessions. During our camps, we learn how to care for the horses, learn about the horse’s body, the tack and equipment used, and we ride! We might even paint a pony or two.

We are already more than one-third full for for all Summer Camp sessions this year. Find out more about about it and sign up today by using the button below.
